UCS Senior School

The largest single element of the UCS Foundation is the Senior School on the Frognal site, which provides education for boys aged 11–18 and girls aged 16–18. The Senior School delivers education with an emphasis on supporting individuals to develop knowledge, experience and understanding, a strong sense of values, personal integrity and compassion.

UCS is different from many day schools in the commitment that we make to the pastoral care of our pupils. This is because our aim is to develop self-confidence, maturity and self-esteem - not just exam results. We believe that our route not only leads to good results at school but by producing well-balanced and assured school-leavers, to continuing success thereafter.

Guidance on admissions for 11+ entry

“I joined UCS in Year 7 from a nearby primary school. No one from my old school came to UCS but I settled in very quickly and made friends easily.

At the welcome day in June I met my new classmates and my form teacher – everyone was really helpful and very friendly. I was given a form mentor who helped me find my way around and this made things even easier." - Jake

Bursaries and Music Scholarships

UCS consistently ranks at the top of independent schools in London for the number of 100% bursaries awarded each year, and last year provided £1.2 million in bursary support. 90% of these pupils received 100% fee remission. This fee assistance is available to pupils who join at 11+ and 16+ and is entirely means-tested.

Music Scholarships are also available and budding musicians can audition for a fee reduction of typically between 10% and 25%.
